Polarity Therapy – Energy Balancing:

In 1953 Dr. Randolph Stone published “The Wireless Anatomy of Man”, based on working with the human being as a complex coordination of subtle energy fields that could be stimulated and balanced achieving a state of well-being. This was the foundation of “Energy-work” as we know it today. He called it “Polarity Therapy. It has four branches: 1) Energy balancing- bodywork technique. 2) Polarity Yoga-using sound, movement & postures to balance primordial energy in what’s called “effortless-effort”; working smarter not harder. 3) Diet & Nutrition-cleansing, color, position, (where food grows-in dirt or on a tree), has an affect on balance. 4) Counseling-words spoken have rhythms that can map where your energy needs balance.


Coherent (Resonant) Breathing

In James Nester’s NY Times bestseller “Breath” he describes Coherent Breathing… “There is no more essential technique, and none more basic”, he goes on to say, “I try to practice this technique as often as possible”. Studied in the lab for decades, the ultimate rhythm, (for the average adult height), is 5.5 breaths per minute. This takes your nervous system to its full limit-capacity because it synchronizes alpha waves, the optimal brain waves, (when the brain is relaxed and alert), that can help you enter a “flow state”, which allows you to do deep work with less effort. Also, promotes HRV, “Heart Rate Variability”, which is associated with healthier more flexible cardiovascular system. The Heart, Brain, Lungs & every system measurable in the body is working at peak efficiency. This breathing practice has helped recovery for Firefighters & residents near Ground Zero in NY after 911, Soldiers going to and returning from the battlefield, refugees, trauma victims from mass shootings and natural disaster globally.

Open-Focus Meditation and Dissolving Pain

“Open-Focus Meditation” and “Dissolving Pain” was developed by the late, great Dr. Les Fehmi, a leader in brainwave biofeedback, (also called neurofeedback). A clinical psychologist and researcher, he proposed that many of us have become stuck in “narrow-focus attention”; a tense, survival mode of attention that holds us in a state of chronic stress. Attention is all encompassing in our lives. Feeling at home is the result of a way of paying attention. Love is a way of paying attention. The issue is not what we pay attention to. Imagery

There are numerous ways we can think. Most familiar is logical thought, the basis of science, making contact with what can be called objective reality. Mental Imagery, like intuition, is a type of non-logical thinking, used for making contact with our inner subjective reality. Imagery work, the power of thinking in symbols, allows for consciousness to play a role in healing deep wounds, long held belief systems and trauma. The medical use of Imagery is one of the oldest and most powerful. It has existed in many cultures around the world for centuries, (in Egypt, Tibet, India, Africa; among Eskimos and American Indians), in some cases for millennia. An image is the mental form of a feeling. It is the true and natural language of your mind speaking in pictures. The language conveys the higher wisdom of our minds and the longing of our hearts. It is a natural healing modality that when our mind speaks it instruct the body, like modern day biofeedback. By tuning inwards you can discover antidotes for healing emotions, stimulate your physical bodies immunity to finding freedom spiritually. Mental Imagery techniques are currently used in evidence-based treatments such as cognitive behavioral therapy and anxiety disorders.

Our bodies can be tuned like musical instruments and our intentions can be tuned to our highest values! All existence is vibratory in nature. When you’re aware of your own inner vibrations, able to witness life around you as a concert of sound, to discover that you are in fact sound, then the division between internal and external becomes non-existent. Sound is the perfect tool for healing practices as well as personal development because it mimics the nature of existence and affects individuals on all levels. By recognizing and understanding the dissonance in our lives we embrace the opportunity to move to higher level of functioning. Resolution happens when dissonance becomes resonance. With each experience of resonance, the more we are “beings of sound, mind and body”.
